PRESSURE REGULATOR RC-5

APPLICATION

The regulator is designed to stabilize the pressure upstream of the valve at the desired level. Designed for installation in steam, water, air and non-flammable gas networks. After agreeing with the manufacturer, it can also be used for other media. It is possible to use other types of cylinders (piston, bellows). We offer anti-cavitation and noise reduction designs.

BUILDING

The regulator consists of three main units:
• valve with pressure balanced plug and stem sealed with a bellows,
• diaphragm actuator,
• regulated pressure adjuster

CHARACTERISTIC

• steel and acid-resistant versions
• structures that reduce noise or increase cavitation resistance
• high tightness of closing due to the use of fungi with PTFE, EPDM, NBR sealing
• possibility of using piston and bellows cylinders

PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION

The direct-action pressure regulator is a regulating device whose flowing medium provides the energy necessary to control the operation of the valve. The regulator is closed in a normal state, an increase in regulated pressure causes the valve to open. The impulse of the regulated pressure from the valve is fed via an impulse line to the chamber of the actuator, from the valve side, the force on the diaphragm of the actuator, caused by the regulated pressure, is balanced with the force of the spring (s) of the adjuster. Changing the value of the regulated pressure in relation to the set point adjuster causes a proportional change in the position of the valve plug until the controlled pressure reaches the set point.
